Physical Education is a co-educational and multi grade level class. Our goal is to assist each student in obtaining a high level of fitness associated to individual abilities. We start each day by incorporating the state physical fitness assessment requirements in our daily warm up and conditioning activities. The main goal is to teach students the overall importance of developing and maintaining personal fitness regime to be utilized over a lifetime.
I am Cindi Markham, the teacher for the girls program. As I am beginning my 28th year of teaching in the Hazel Green Cluster. I hopefully have had an impact on the students that I have served, My love for Physical Education and Fitness played a major role in the direction of my life. I am a former college athlete. The sport of basketball allowed me to follow my passion for fitness and athletics. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Teaching Degree in Physical Education and Elementary Education from University of North Alabama. I furthered my education at Tennessee State University obtaining a Masters and an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision.
I am the mother of three amazing children. Austin, Logan and Kendall. Austin is in the Alabama National Guard and pursuing an college education, Logan is in his third year at Auburn University and Kendall is a senior at Hazel Green High School. They as well share a love of Fitness and Sport. As a family we all enjoy playing and watching sports as well as going with family and friends to the lake boating and water sports.
